What types of photography do you specialize in?
I specialize in portraits but am ready for any creative ideas you come up with, inside or outside of the studio! I do a wide range of portraits from professional headshots, to boudoir, family, and creative. I love to challenge myself to make something interesting with a random props, pieces of furniture, or avantgarde makeup and clothing. Outside of the studio, I specialize in candid photoshoots and vehicle photography. Candid photoshoots may look like bringing your family or pets to a designated location such as a park or even your own home, and letting them explore! These shoots are mostly unposed, capturing the nature of parenthood and general life.
Where are you based and where will you travel for shoots?
My home studio is based out of south Seattle, Washington. However, I am willing to travel and do offsite shoots. if doing an offsite shoot, a travel fee and/or entry fee may apply if the shoot is done outside of king county, or taken at a location requiring fees to enter such as a zoo, aquarium, hands on museum, etc. Out of state travel is available with extensive notice, travel fees and boarding (hotel) are paid for by client.
Do you require a deposit to secure the date?
All shoots require a 50% deposit to secure date and time slot. This can be paid via PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, cash app, or cash. Upon paying deposit you will sign a digital contract sent via email, stating you accept that this deposit is non-refundable if shoot is cancelled within 48 hours of start time. Deposits will be carried over if given more than 48 hours notice to reschedule. Your deposit is included in the total price of the shoot, the other half of the invoice must be paid before gaining access to finished photos.
What is the turn around time for photos?
A watermarked sneak peak will be added to your digital portfolio within 48 hours of finishing your session. After you have finished your original session, we will schedule another meeting via video call or in person to view the other raw images and allow you to decide which ones you would like final copies of. Once chosen and invoice has been paid, your photos will be edited and posted to your online private portfolio for you to download.
Are prints or albums included?
At this time I am only offering digital albums of photos via private portfolio. once your invoice has been paid you will be given a password to access and download your images. I hope to soon offer other services such as prints, albums, and photo books!
How long does a session last?
The answer to this is dependent on the type of session you are looking for. Mini sessions typically run about 30- 45 minutes, with most other sessions running anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on client comfort and how creative we decide to get! I am not firm on time limits, we will have ample time to get your dream photos even if it exceeds the usual time frame.
How should I prepare for my shoot (clothing, tips, location ideas, props, etc.)?
Come dressed in whatever makes you feel confident! The most important thing for me is your comfort whether that means fully modest or fully nude. If you need help with location ideas, a list will be emailed to you with your consent forms and editing questionnaire form. you are welcome to bring and use your own props, or browse the studio collection. The studio does not provide clothing for sessions.
Do you help with posing?
Yes, of course! We are able to recreate your inspo photos, or come up with our own ideas together based on your comfort levels.
Can I bring family, friends, or pets along with me?
you are more than welcome to bring your emotional support person, service animal, or any friends or family you'd like to be included in the session. Pets are not allowed unless discussed before session, or if the session is for your pet.
What happens if we have to cancel or reschedule due to bad weather (outdoor shoots)?
In Washington, it is inevitable that the weather will sometimes put a damper on our plans, when this happens, your deposit will be transferred and we will reschedule.  Keep in mind we will only need to reschedule due to rain, heavy winds, or snow. Overcast or cloudy weather is great for photos so our typical Washington weather is actually ideal for your outdoor session, we don't need a perfect sunny day!
How many photos will I receive, and will they all be edited?
The answer to the question once again depends on the style of photoshoot, For mini sessions, you will be able to choose up to 30 photos to be added to your digital gallery for you to download. For full sessions, you will be able to choose up to 75 photos. This decision will be made in a separate appointment via video call or in person meeting to review your photos. Once you've decided on your photos they will be edited and added to your gallery once your invoice has been paid in full.
What is your general cancellation/rescheduling policy?
If your shoot is rescheduled or cancelled within 48 hours of start time, your deposit will not be refunded. When rescheduled or canceled prior to 48 hours before start time, your deposit can be transferred to a session at a later late, or refunded to you via the money transfer platform you used to pay. If photographer is to fall ill or injured, notice will be given as soon as possible and session will be rescheduled with transferred deposit.
Can I post the photos to social media?
Absolutely!! These are your photos, do what you please with them! I always appreciate a tag to my socials to help my business (and it might even get you a discount on your next session).
